David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation is an amazing charity that does so much to help wildlife all around the world. So it’s wonderful that they have chosen my image of Fateh, a dominant male Bengal Tiger named after the famous Fateh Singh Rathore as their front cover, celebrating their 35th Anniversary edition.
There is also another photo of mine showing a young Tiger cub coming straight toward me that is used inside the magazine, which looks incredible in print.
DSWF are a highly effective wildlife conservation charity funding key conservation projects across Africa and Asia. Their mission is to increase awareness to people around the world about the need to protect and conserve wildlife and their habitats. They take a holistic approach to conservation, recognising the essential role that communities and education both play in ensuring conservation successes.
They also recognise the need to tackle environmental and wildlife crime from grassroots to the world stage across all forums and platforms available for change. By engaging in the international policy arena, fighting for greater protectionist policies and legislation, governments become equally important stakeholders in the fight for species protection, alongside those putting their lives on the line daily for the survival of species and the protection of their natural habitats.
I’ve loved Tigers since I was as child and I have helped to raise awareness of their plight since I first picked up a camera, so this is really special for me.
